How NOT to put up a Spinnaker pole!
Looking through my hard drive, I found this recording, which was done “by accident” and shows a not very gracious way (rather dangerous) of trying to put up a Spinnaker pole. We were still in our beginnings of working as new crew together and at the start of our trip back in October. Since there wasn’t much wind, the men were wondering, if they could forgo one step to set it up faster. Gosh, at one point I was wondering, if we would have a man overboard… or scared it could even be two!
